Staying at Sea Holly House in Beer, Devon

When people ask us where to stay in Beer, Sea Holly House is always at the heart of the conversation. It’s our modern coastal home in the village, designed for comfort, connection and genuinely memorable stays along the Jurassic Coast.
Set just above the village, Sea Holly House combines sea views, thoughtful design and flexible accommodation options. Whether you’re planning a family holiday, a couples’ escape, a celebration with friends or a longer work-from-the-coast stay, it’s a place that adapts easily to how you travel.
This guide explains the different ways you can stay at Sea Holly House, including the main house, the private Hideaway Annexe, or both booked together.
Sea Holly House (Main House, Sleeps 10)
The main Sea Holly House is a newly built, modern coastal home designed around shared time and relaxed living. The reverse open-plan layout creates a stunning upstairs living and dining space, framing wide views across Beer and out towards the sea.
Throughout the house, we’ve used soft coastal tones, natural textures and calming design details inspired by the surrounding landscape. The layout works beautifully for families and groups, offering space to gather while still giving everyone room to unwind.
There are four super king bedrooms, two of which can be set up as twins for flexible group arrangements, along with a king bedroom. Each room is designed as a peaceful retreat, with ultra-luxury mattresses, quality linens and a calm, nature-led feel that makes switching off easy.
Inside, there are spaces for both relaxation and fun, including cosy corners to slow down, a full-size pool table and table tennis. Air conditioning throughout the house ensures comfort in every season, while a dedicated executive workspace with fast, reliable internet makes longer stays and remote working straightforward.
Outside, the large balcony with dining for ten is perfectly positioned for golden-hour views over Beer. The seven-person hot tub, BBQ area and fully enclosed grass garden make Sea Holly House particularly well suited to families, groups and dog-friendly stays. There’s also parking for up to five cars and EV charging on site.
The Hideaway Annexe at Sea Holly House (Sleeps 2)
The Hideaway Annexe is a separate, self-contained retreat designed exclusively for two people. It mirrors the same calm, coastal aesthetic as the main house, offering a quieter, more private way to stay in Beer.
Inside, the annexe features a luxurious super king bed, air conditioning and a stylish shower room. A thoughtfully equipped kitchenette includes a fridge, sink, induction hob and an air-fryer microwave, ideal for relaxed breakfasts or simple meals.
There’s also a comfortable dining space for two, a large smart TV with complimentary Netflix, and a private terrace with dining and sea views. The Hideaway has its own BBQ and benefits from a pathway that leads directly down into Beer village and towards the beach — perfect for morning coffees, coastal walks or sunset strolls.
The Hideaway can be booked on its own or alongside the main house, making it ideal for couples, grandparents, friends or anyone wanting extra privacy during a shared stay.
Booking Sea Holly House and the Hideaway Together (Sleeps 12)
For larger families or groups travelling together, Sea Holly House and the Hideaway Annexe can be booked as one combined option.
This setup allows everyone to stay together while still enjoying independence and privacy where needed. It works especially well for multi-generation trips, celebrations or holidays where shared space matters just as much as personal comfort.
